Meet the CID management team

The CID Manager is responsible for the design, implementation and management of the CID programmes. Working closely with the service provider management teams, the Manager sets work programmes, develops and implements performance review processes and ensures that accurate statistics are captured across all programme activities.

The Manager is responsible for the management and operations of the CID, encompassing community engagement, the implementation of communication strategies, finance management and ensuring that the CID complies with the requirements of the legislative frameworks applicable to its scope of operations. The Manager takes direction from the Board Chair and forms part of working groups set up to scope and plan for special projects.

For the CID to function well, the Manager is tasked with the development of relationships with all stakeholders, across community, local and national services and structures.

Amanda Kirk

Manager

Amanda trained in human resources management and gained 21 years of corporate HR experience in the FMCG, wellness and publishing industries before leaving corporate life to consult to small to medium size businesses and nonprofits, focusing on human resources, operations and general management.

Entering the CID world, Amanda headed up the Observatory Improvement District NPC (OBSID) for over five years before moving over to the role of Manager of the Clifton City Improvement District NPC in September 2023.

Amanda sees the role of CID Manager as a challenging and rewarding one – needing good common sense, the ability to retain loads of information, to see the big picture and be risk aware but ready to implement new ideas. A good sense of humour is essential!

She believes that CIDs have a vital role to play in building a sense of community through the delivery of core programmes as well as working on new projects and ideas. CID work is all about making good places for people to enjoy as a community and Amanda is committed to contributing to Clifton’s reputation as a safe, clean and well managed area, benefitting residents and visitors alike.
