We’ve been operational for 10 months!
August’s better weather brought people back to the beaches – so bylaw violations increased this month. Our teams continue their preparation for the upcoming summer season and we’re looking forward to seeing Clifton come back to life.
Our public safety team facilitated one arrest this month, our cleaning teams removed almost 1.7 tons of rubbish from the public spaces, and we continue to report faulty infrastructure to the City, following up to ensure that reported issues are attended to.
The winter tides continue to wash up items onto our beaches, so focussed cleans were done on Glen Beach and 4th Beach throughout the month. Very sadly, our team also discovered the bodies of an infant girl and an adult male during August 2024 and ensured that the necessary authorities were informed so that they both could be taken care of.
As I write this, I’m celebrating the completion of my first year with the Clifton CID and we’re all welcoming spring! We look forward to serving the community and visitors in the months to come!
