Autumn is upon us and the public spaces of Clifton are becoming a little less busy.

The CID team continues to focus on ensuring that a consistently high level of service is provided to the Clifton community as well as visitors.

Our public safety team’s quick response resulted in the apprehension of a bag snatcher, who was later arrested by SAPS. Along with law enforcement, the team also attended to 3 instances of possession of illegal substances. Our law enforcement officers continued to enforce bylaws, issuing fines for offences including consuming alcohol in public and illegal trading as well a range of traffic offences related to illegal parking, unlicenced vehicles, and failing to obey traffic signals.

Our environmental upgrading team completed a fencing repair project – fencing along the Glen Beach promenade and Victoria Road was either patched or replaced. Just over 100m of fencing was used!

Wishing you a happy month ahead!
