This month’s impact report reflects a significant drop in visitors to the area, resulting in less litter and incidents in the public open space. We’re using the colder months for teams to take annual leave, for training to be done with teams and for planning and activation projects as well as programme adjustments.
We collected over a ton of litter from the public open spaces and had 233 contacts with the street-based community during the month. Our 24x7x365 public safety programme responded to 322 CCTV alerts.
Whilst we saw less visitors, CID teams attended to 117 bylaw violations, prevented 200 units of alcohol from being consumed in the public open space and noted 9 incidents where belongings were left unattended, reducing the opportunity for theft in the public open space.
Wishing you a happy May!
Amanda
