8 September 2025

Our AGM takes place on Tuesday 16th of September 2025 at 16h00 at the CID offices.

If you’re not able to attend in person, please consider giving your proxy to someone who will be attending. You’ll find the form here.

August’s better weather brought people to the beaches and public spaces of Glen Beach and Clifton. The changing seasons and tides also covered the beaches in micro plastics and litter washed in from the sea. Our cleaning team picked up an extra 100kg of litter from the beaches in just a few days during the month!

Sadly, alcohol and substance use in the public spaces accounted for 56% of all bylaw infringements that were recorded.

We recorded no crime incidents this month, our Law Enforcement Officers issued 72 fines, and our public safety team responded to 193 alerts from our control room and surveillance centre.

Contacts with the street-based community more than doubled against the previous month, with our team engaging on average 3 times a day with individuals moving through the area. We’ll continue to do our best to ensure that no bylaw violations are committed by individuals on the move – including settling in the public spaces.

Looking forward to sharing more of our impact with you at the upcoming AGM.

Have a good month!
