10 December 2025

Hello summer!  November brought scorching temperatures and lots of wind to Clifton, along with loads of people enjoying the beaches and Maidens Cover braai area.  Our teams continued their work around the clock, attending to almost 400 bylaw violations, 217 contacts with the street-based community to prevent bylaw infringements and responding to 560 CCTV alerts.

Lots of visitors meant lots of litter left behind, and our cleaning team collected just over 1.9 tons of rubbish from the public open spaces of Clifton.

We’ve installed 3 new CCTV cameras – 2 PTZ (point, tilt, zoom) and 1 fixed lens camera to expand our coverage and expanded the size of our public safety team ahead of the festive season.

Once again, our social media monitoring of planned “Clifton Takeovers” led to the enforcement agencies deploying extra resources on the 29th of November 2025, resulting in 344 units of alcohol being confiscated and prevented from being consumed in the public spaces of Clifton in just one afternoon.

Many of you will soon be winding down to the end of year break – and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for all the kind words, constructive feedback, and support.  We wish those of you travelling safe journeys and happy holidays!  To those staying in Clifton, we’ll be seeing you!
